International Conference on Intellectual Property and Creativity
Dear Sir/Madam,
With this letter we would like to invite you to the IP Centre’s International Conference on Intellectual Property and Creativity that will be held on 13-14 December 2007 in the Romanian Academy’s Aula “I.Heliade Radulescu”, located at 125 Victoriei Street, Bucharest (Romania).
The research – development and innovation activity is a strategic component, decisive for the economic development and social progress. Thus, science, technology and innovation represent domains that constantly generate technological progress, ensuring the durability of the development and of the future economic competitiveness of Romania. The Intellectual Property and its commercial exploitation represent issues of a great importance for creativity valorization and encouragement of the creators and the organizations that promote creativity and innovation. Protecting intellectual property rights and also promoting and disseminating knowledge in this field contribute to the development of markets and to the expansion of a real creativity’s industry. Within the context of globalization, raising awareness of the importance and practical aspects of Intellectual Property amongst SMEs, universities and Public Research Organisations is key in order to promote innovation in Europe.
The Conference will approach a range of issues related to: IP in Romania and throughout the world, promotion of IP throughout the world, strategies of innovation, research, development, exploitation and valorization, protecting and promoting IP, Creativity and IP as a support for development, Promoting IP within national (CEEX module III, PN II) and European (FP7) research programs, piracy and counterfeiting, and also a range of case studies.
In the attached program, you will see that this seminar constitutes a unique opportunity as it will be a platform to interact with IP specialists and policy makers’ representatives. As a participant, you will surely contribute to lively discussions in each session.
The Conference is open to the public and will bring together guests from the Romanian parliament, ministries, public and private research institutions, public and private universities, non-governmental organizations, inventors, students and also personalities from different international organisms in the field of IP.
If you are willing to participate with a presentation on a theme for our program, we kindly ask you to inform us as soon as possible for adding you as a speaker in the program. Your participation to this Conference will be free of charge.
